In the 1950s, Woodrow and Helen White began popping popcorn at their candy and confections store in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Movie-goers at the nearby Paramount Theater would stop-in the store to pick-up a sweet treat on their way to the cinema. Passed-on through family and friends, the recipe for Woody’s Caramel Corn has been loved for generations.

Today, Woody’s Popcorn is a friend-owned and operated business headquartered in Sterling, IL. With an expansion of products including Cheddar Corn, Caramel & Cheddar Mixed Corn, and White Cheddar Corn, Woody’s products are handmade, with locally sourced ingredients. Our popcorn products are available in multiple sizes of individual bags and tins, and even 10-gallon containers for larger events for all of life’s occasions.

Through continued growth, we have utilized the facilities of the Greater Sterling Development Corporate and currently operate out of The Incubator, located at 1741 Industrial Drive in Sterling, Illinois. While our facility does not provide for a retail storefront for customers, Woody’s finds great success in distributing our products to stores throughout Northern and Central Illinois, Eastern Iowa, and Southern Wisconsin to provide local businesses with quality products for their customers.
